Roads

Surveys are needed before road improvements or changes can be designed and approved. Just as in the development of land most road design is done using CAD software and the survey data needs to be in a format compatible with that package. If the designer is to properly calculate the interface between design and existing features then the survey must reflect an accurate digital terrain model.

All ABA surveys will fully satisfy these requirements and more with data provided in GENIO, AutoCad and Microstation formats.

Accuracy and completeness of the survey data is essential to the designer -- their reputation and profitability will depend upon it. ABA Surveyors carry out road surveys using the most suitable modern techniques -- total stations, 3d scanning or, on the longer projects, aerial photography and sometimes, even, a combination of all three.
