Monitoring During and after any construction project adjacent structures will often need monitoring for movement and disturbance. We monitor tunnels, buildings and track for movements during construction works. Most monitoring is carried out for 3D movement using precise 1°± total stations observing to small prism targets. Additionally, vertical movement may also be separately monitored using precise digital levels. Instruments using automatic target recognition ensure that all readings are taken without bias and that the readings at the end of the day are as accurate as those taken at the end of the day. Accessible sites can be monitored by surveyors normally. Inaccessible sites will require a dedicated system of monitoring using robotic instruments that can be programmed to work 24 hours a day if needed. Technologies Robotic total stations
